INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Attention all high school students!  If you are looking for an exciting, adventurous, life-changing way to complete your Christian Service hours, you should consider traveling to Guatemala next June!   This trip includes 30 hours of service work in an elementary school as well as fabulous daily adventures where you will experience the culture and flavor of Guatemala!  For more information on this 14 day trip, come to the informational meeting on Wednesday, August 22nd in room 102 during lunch.   A pizza lunch will be provided so get there early!

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY - JULY 21ST - 5K WALK/RUN & 1K FUN RUN

Earn some of your Christian Service hours by volunteering on Saturday, July 21st at the second annual Care and Compassion 5K Walk/run and 1K Fun Run.  Volunteers are needed for athlete check in, water stations, directional course staff and post race clean up.  This event is held by Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent and Nursing Hospital and all proceeds benefit low-income elderly and terminally ill residents that the hospital serves.  Click here for more information on the race.  Please call Lisa Osborn at 805-498-3644 ext. 254 to volunteer, or email events@maryhealth.com

KARIANNA ZABAGLO '12 RECEIVES CHRISTIAN SERVICE AWARD

Congratulations to Karianna Zabaglo '12 for receiving the Christian Service Award from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Department of Catholic Schools.  Karianna was  recognized at the annual Christian Service Liturgy and Award Celebration on Tuesday, March 20 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, along with Mrs. Sue Reyes.

SUE REYES HONORED BY THE ARCHDIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES

Congratulations to Sue Reyes, LRHS Christian Service Coordinator!  Mrs. Reyes is being honored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Department of Catholic Schools for her outstanding dedication in directing students in Christian service activities and in modeling for them a commitment to the Gospels through service of others.  She will be recognized at the annual Christian Service Liturgy and Award Celebration on Tuesday, March 20 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
