Attention all new students! School photos will be taken in the gym on Friday, August 26th from 12:00 pm. - 2:00 p.m. Wear your school uniform and please complete this order form. Please bring the completed order form and your payment to the photo session on Friday.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
The first day of school for NEW students is Friday, August 26th.
The schedule for Friday, August 26th begins at 8:00 a.m. with an assembly in the gym. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon and school pictures for new students are from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.
The first day of school for ALL students is Monday, August 29th.
School begins at 8:00 a.m. with an assembly in the gym. Students will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m.
Zero period classes begin on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:05 a.m.

LA REINA FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Join us on August 17th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. for La Reina Family Movie Night! Bring blankets and your whole family for an evening of hot dogs, popcorn and fun! BBQ starts at 6:00 p.m. at the rear softball field. The movie will be shown in the gym beginning at 7:00 p.m. Please RSVP to admissions@lareina.com by August 15th.

APPLY NOW FOR HEIDEL FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
La Reina High School is pleased to announce the second Heidel Family Scholarship, to be awarded through the generosity of Mary Heidel and Heidi Heidel '94. This annual scholarship of $500, applicable to tuition, will be awarded to a student who:

- Has earned the Activity Letter, as described in the Student-Parent Handbook
- Has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Has earned an "A" in Citizenship for all four quarters of the previous school year
- Has completed the application form for the Heidel Family Scholarship by the last Friday in August; this year, the deadline is Friday, August 26.

THANK YOU TO AN ANONYMOUS DONOR!
The Regents of La Reina High School would like to thank a recent anonymous donor. This individual donated a car to Cars 4 Causes and through the sale of this vehicle, LRHS received $1,385.33. Every student benefits through donations such as this!
Cars 4 Causes accepts cars, boats, motorcycles or RV's in 47 states. Proceeds will then benefit LRHS--donors can designate a particular fund (such as the Legacy & Promise Annual Fund, Legacy & Promise Financial Aid, or any academic department, organization or activity).

LA REINA FAMILY NIGHT OUT - SHAKESPEARE AT CLU - JULY 17TH
"The Taming of the Shrew" will be performed by the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company in the Kingsman Park at California Lutheran University on Sunday, July 17th. All are welcome to attend, free of charge. Pre-show entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. with Renaissance music, comic Shakespearean improvisations and wandering performers. The main performance begins at 8:00 p.m.
Limited seating is available, feel free to bring chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner. Coffee, soft drinks, water, wine and beer will be available for purchase. Join other La Reina families in an area set aside for family seating or relax under the stars on a blanket.
