REGENT RIDERS WIN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Congratulations to the La Reina Equestrian Team!  At Sunday's competition, Regent Riders clinched the League Championship AGAIN, for the 2nd year in a row.  For those who are counting, that makes 13 championships in the last 17 years!

For the year, in the Novice Division, Samantha Vaughan '16 was 10th out of 82 riders, helping La Reina earn a very respectable 3rd place in the division.  The Freshman Team riders came in 2nd place in the division!  Honors go to newcomer Ivey Burns '17 who took home 8th place in the difficult Freshman Medal Class, and finished 4th in the division out of 94 riders. Congratulations also to Katie Brown '15 who was the Freshman Dressage section Reserve Champion. Our Junior Varsity Riders were also 2nd place in their division, with Jessica Gooding '13 finishing 3rd for the year out of 104 riders, and Senior Alice Lockhart taking home the JV Dressage section Reserve Champion title.  Special congratulations to Varsity rider Stacey Bacheller '13.  Stacey won the Varsity Medal Final:  the most difficult and therefore honored class of the year!  Her trainer Jeni Brown also received special recognition as the coach of the Varsity Medal winner.  Stacey's winnings helped her come in 1st place in the Varsity Division for the Season with 178 points!  And if Stacey's riding talents were not enough, she was honored by her peers with the IEL Sportsmanship Award.  A true model of the La Reina standards, Stacey is phenomenal!  We are so very proud of each and every one of you: this year was truly a TEAM effort!  Well done Regent Riders!
